Look at this lovely song! by a very special person.

Kickstart will happen in the summer we promice - well we dont promice, we just hope...or dream...

to fill you in on what's happened: we've had to postpone kickstart's opening, unfortunately. We went to get into the building last night and there's a guy living there already. Some of us have been talking to him and it's not going to work to do kickstart with him there.
We've already been hunting for another place today and have come up with nothing concrete yet. Hopefully we can get some other place very soon and go ahead next week with our plans.
It would be good if anyone has any constructive comments on what's happening.....
....especially ideas of where to go. We have so much energy and great ideas; this is a setback, but definitely a lesson or 2 as well.
We can meet up and also use this list to chat about it. We need to work fairly fast.
Hope everyone is well, and not too disappointed...

Kickstart Cafe is a new autonomous social centre/cafe in Manchester. A group of people find buildings that are unused and turn them into spaces that can be utilised. Recently we were on Liverpool Road just off Deansgate. The centre was very promising, with a cafe, film nights, live music, parties, creative workshops and much more! We were in the space for about 2 weeks before the company that owned the building decided they wanted to sell it and chuck us out and build some yuppies flats instead.

We are opening VERY SOON - so look at the timetable for info about whats going on - we have LOADS of really great workshops by some brilliant people. Tell all your mates!
Please get in touch with any queries you have, or better still, if you would like to get involved or put on a workshop then please do tell us. A timetable is being put together at this very moment, and we really want people to share skills, put on benefits for your groups or just come along to the events.
